Neighborhood Warming Initiatives
【Baitasi Remade】In the Design Week of this year, we will take Neighbourhood Warming Initiatives 2018 as the theme, continue the development of Baitasi Remade and the theme Towards New Neighbourhoods in 2017, adopt the strategy of “Hutong enhancement + Courtyard transformation + Community co-construction” and the thought of “Community Life + Design Thinking”, establish various community organizations together with plural co-organizers from the angle of sociology, jointly create warm shared space, cultures, services and commodities with the thought of product realization, provide fundamental conditions of human resources and materials for arrangement of the blocks, and further explore an efficient, low-consumption, internally and externally cohesive approach for urban renewal. Domestic and foreign famous designers, scholars and residents will make contributions together to improving existing public space and infrastructure to enrich the cultural life in Hutongs.

Neighbourhood Warming Initiatives 2019
Baitasi Remade, in the Design Week of this year, will take Neighbourhood Warming Initiatives 2019 as the theme, to continue the idea of Neighbourhood Warming Initiatives 2018 and implement Beijing’s new master plan. It aims to restore the hutong culture of Beijing historic city through several methods such as micro-renewal of hutong, cultural memory mining and residents’ participation in innovative neighbourhood management; To maintain the continuation of the life style of historic cultural district while promoting the industrial development of creative design and the transformation of creative design achievement; To meet the needs of contemporary urban lifestyles and create a “warm neighbourhood”, so as to better serve the high-quality growth of national economy.
